Tube billet preparation and inspection → tube billet heating → perforation → pipe rolling → steel pipe reheating → fixed (reduced) diameter → heat treatment → finished pipe straightening → finishing → inspection (non-destructive, physical and chemical, bench inspection) → storage
The delivery state of hot-rolled seamless steel pipes is generally delivered after heat treatment in the hot-rolled state. Production process
1. Plate inspection: After the steel plate used to manufacture large-diameter submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipe enters the production line, the whole plate is first subjected to ultrasonic inspection;
2. Edge milling: double-sided milling of the two edges of the steel plate by an edge milling machine to achieve the required plate width, plate edge parallelism and bevel shape;
3. Pre-bending: Use a pre-bending machine to pre-bend the edge of the board, so that the edge of the board has a curvature that meets the requirements;
4. Forming: First half of the pre-bent steel plate is pressed into a "J" shape on the JCO forming machine through multiple stepping steps, and then the other half of the steel plate is also bent and pressed into a "C" shape, and finally an opening is formed "O" shape
5. Pre-welding: Join the formed longitudinally welded steel pipes and use gas shielded welding (MAG) for continuous welding;
6. Internal welding: adopt longitudinal multi-wire submerged arc welding (up to four wires) to weld on the inner side of the straight seam steel pipe;
7. External welding: use longitudinal multi-wire submerged arc welding to weld on the outside of the longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipe;
8. Ultrasonic inspection I: 100% inspection of the inner and outer welds of the longitudinally welded steel pipe and the base materials on both sides of the weld;
9. X-ray inspection I: 100% X-ray industrial television inspection of the inner and outer welds, using an image processing system to ensure the sensitivity of flaw detection;
10. Diameter expansion: expand the total length of the submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipe to improve the dimensional accuracy of the steel pipe and improve the distribution of the internal stress of the steel pipe;
11. Hydraulic test: The expanded steel pipes are inspected one by one on the hydraulic testing machine to ensure that the steel pipe meets the test pressure required by the standard. The machine has automatic recording and storage functions;
12. Chamfering: Process the pipe end of the steel pipe that has passed the inspection to meet the required pipe end groove size;
13. Ultrasonic inspection II: Perform ultrasonic inspection again one by one to check the possible defects of the longitudinally welded steel pipe after diameter expansion and water pressure;
14. X-ray inspection II: X-ray industrial television inspection and filming of pipe end welds on steel pipes after expansion and hydraulic test;
15. Tube end magnetic particle inspection: carry out this inspection to find tube end defects;
16. Anti-corrosion and coating: Qualified steel pipes are anti-corrosion and coating according to user requirements.

Spiral submerged arc welded steel pipe
Production process
Spiral steel pipe is a spiral seam steel pipe made of strip steel coils as raw materials, often extruded and formed by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding.
(1) Raw materials are strip steel coils, welding wires, and fluxes. Strict physical and chemical inspections are required before investment.
(2) Butt joint of strip steel head and tail, adopt single wire or double wire submerged arc welding, after coiling into steel pipe, adopt automatic submerged arc welding to repair welding.
(3) Before forming, the strip undergoes leveling, edge trimming, edge planing, surface cleaning and conveying, and pre-bending treatment.
(4) The electric contact pressure gauge is used to control the pressure of the cylinders on both sides of the conveyor to ensure the smooth conveying of the strip.
(5) Adopt external control or internal control roll forming.
(6) The welding seam gap control device is used to ensure that the welding seam gap meets the welding requirements, and the pipe diameter, the amount of misalignment and the welding seam gap are all strictly controlled.
(7) Both internal welding and external welding adopt American Lincoln electric welding machine for single-wire or double-wire submerged arc welding, so as to obtain stable welding specifications.
(8) The welded seams are all inspected by an online continuous ultrasonic automatic flaw instrument, which guarantees 100% non-destructive testing coverage of spiral welds. If there is a defect, it will automatically alarm and spray the mark, and the production workers can adjust the process parameters at any time according to this to eliminate the defect in time.
(9) Air plasma cutting machine is used to cut the steel pipe into individual pieces.
(10) After cutting into single steel pipes, each batch of steel pipes must undergo a strict initial inspection system to check the mechanical properties, chemical composition, fusion status of the welds, the surface quality of the steel pipes and pass non-destructive inspections to ensure that the pipe-making process is qualified. After that, it can be officially put into production.
(11) The parts with continuous sonic flaw detection marks on the weld are re-examined by manual ultrasonic and X-ray. If there are defects, after repairing, they will go through non-destructive inspection again until it is confirmed that the defects have been eliminated.
(12) The pipes where the strip steel butt welding seams and the D-shaped joints intersecting the spiral welding seams are all inspected by X-ray television or filming.
(13) Each steel pipe undergoes hydrostatic pressure test, and the pressure adopts radial seal. The test pressure and time are strictly controlled by the steel pipe hydraulic microcomputer detection device. The test parameters are automatically printed and recorded.
(14) The pipe end is mechanically processed, so that the verticality of the end face, the bevel angle and the obtuse edge can be accurately controlled.
